HEART OF THE VOID
Mind's Eye EP

2009 was the year that Heart Of The Void came into existence. The original lineup included Joey, Riley, and Ryan, as well as Nate and Tommy. (It wouldn’t be until the following year that we would pick up Mike and Davey). Our influences were all over the place, but we knew we wanted to make heavy, progressive music.

We started writing songs and recording them, working towards an album. The first of these songs were released as a demo that year and some of them went on to feature on the self-titled album in 2010, although they had evolved from our time performing them live and by changes to our line-up.

Here, then, is that demo, available for the first time since 2009. Although a bit rough around the edges it's an interesting window into our early sound and how it evolved by the recording of the self-titled the following year.
